“It does not matter how good your business idea is if you do not have an artistic graphic vision.” This quote by my collaborative partner, Stuart Selbst, COO from YourRemoteCOO.com, struck me as very true and something I am very passionate about. Stuart has mastered the skills of efficiency in operations and has been able to help hundreds of businesses to grow consistently and profitably. He knows what works and what doesn’t.
As a designer, helping small businesses and startups make an impact, I have a very difficult time when I see a small business owner come up with something that is an attempt to make a visual representation of their business. It is usually something, that if on a page with other ads or logos, would be lost and unnoticed, or noticed for the wrong reasons.
It is worth every penny to invest in a graphic designer to create an image for your business. A graphic designer goes through a lot of training to know what color, style and font will help represent what your business is about. Most of all, you want that logo to tell a story. From there, you want to invest in having an eye catching business card printed on high quality stock, since this is usually the first thing you hand out to a prospective client. You then, want to be able to direct them to a website which gives them more information about your business and leads them to contacting you and best of all hiring you for your services or products.
It is very simple, a good eye catching design will make you stand out amongst the crowd.
